Shell_NotifyIcon Fail Error

I just recently started seeing this error pop-up. I am running WIN XP Pro.
It appears that it's related to my Umax scanner or Incedimail. Does anyone
have a clue how to fix it?

There is an MSKB article that describes that error message and its relation
to UMAX VistaScan scanner:

The article applies to WIN2K Professional, but it may be equally applicable
to XP.
