Shell.dll

I am trying to install new printer software and i keep
getting the error message cannot find Shell.DLL. I have
located the file on my system. Can someone share insight
for the solution?
 
You can run System File Checker tool to scan all of the protected files on your computer:
Click Start > Run and type: CMD , and hit enter.
In the open box, type: sfc /scannow , and then click OK.
Note that you may be prompted to insert the Windows XP installation CD-ROM.

You will need the original Windows XP CD to perform this task.
