In my company we would like to keep the majority of our staff as users in the windows XP. However, they need to share their documents and folders with co-workers through the network. Unfortunately the option 'sharing' is not available for users. Is there a way to make available for users the option to share a folder? Do they have to be advanced users or administrator to do so?

i din't see why you can't set one up for them. that way they can place
files/folders they'd like to share to the rest of the world.

Well... there is no pattern for sharing. Any user may share their files with whomever they want or need. If a support team would be call every time an user would want to share a file we will do nothing else. It would be great if each one could o it by themselves.
