Sharing .pst mail folders in 2007

Our IT department will not increase the size of our Exchange Server account.
We have a high volume of emails that my company of 8 share and archive to a
..pst account on my computer. I would like to set this account up so that all
other users (we share the same log on if that matters) can have access to
these filed emails that contain attachments and other resources. Is that a
possibility? No one in our IT department can help. ANY help would be
appreciated!

No, that's not possible, at least not without third-party tools that your admins are unlikely to allow. .pst files are designed neither for sharing, nor for storing on network drives. You might ask if you could get a public Exchange folder where you can share data.

Could you elaborate on that...I am desperate to find some way for everyone to
have access to emails. Would IT understand public exchange folder or is that
something I would need to research? Any other suggestions through Outlook?
Thanks for your reply and please advise.

If IT doesn't understand what the Public Folders hierarchy on the Exchange server is all about, they're pretty hopeless. You can also look yourself in the Outlook folder list navigation pane to see the Public Folders hierarchy.

Outlook itself has no mail sharing capability built in. That capability resides on mail servers like Exchange, not inside Outlook.

In stead of sharing pst-files or creating public folders in Exchange I
can advise to archive email as msg file in a public directory! Take a
look at www.slipstick.com, or www.archiving-email.com for solutions
like that.
Without any third-party tool you can try this at home by dragging &
dropping email, or choose File | Save As, choose msg type. Only these
two methods have some technical problems (like file name and file date
time stamp), which third-party software doesn't have.
