.PST Alternative (besides using folders)

My company has pretty strict rules when it comes to email. our email is
either deleated or archived after a certain time. We are also not allowed to
use pst files (don't ask).

Is there an alternative way of keeping backups?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Why would you go against company policies? That usually could lead to
reprimands or even loss of your job. If they feel the need to delete it, you
just agree with it no matter how it affect your job; it was their choice. So
if it limits you in any way, take it up with your manager and explain how
you are not to blame for it.

Note that backups are most likely already made on the server so there is no
need for you to do this manaully.

That said, you can drag and drop messages out of Outlook into an Explorer
folder to save it as an msg-file.

So can you not access the archive? How is it archived?
