Sharing Printer with WinXP Issues

I'm trying to share my printer on my WinV machine (it's a brother HL-1440
laserjet) with my WinXP machine in the other room. Now, I can SEE the
printer just fine on the other machine, but when I try to connect it says
that it will install drivers for this printer. This printer works fine when
I boot to XP on my winV machine, but when I try to let my other machine
install the drivers for it it says it can't find the drivers. Is this
looking on the WinV machine for the drivers or locally? Either way, I can't
see why it can't find the drivers. . .

I never had this issue in WinXP, it works fine on my network that way.
Also, Iv'e set to share the printer, set in printer sharing in the control
panel to allow sharing of my printer as well. Anyone have any ideas as to
why this isn't working? Please?

I hate to have to reboot to WinXP and leave it there everytime I leave just
so that people can print when I'm not home.

Thanks in advance!

Anyone help me out here? Same issue still persists and I don't know how to
resolve it. . .?

Thanks again!

It's looking to to install the drivers on yur XP box. Just use the "add
printer" function, browse to the Vista box printer and install the drivers
(you may need your printer driver disk or download the XP drivers from
Brother).

Okay, I have tried this but the Other machine running XP tells me that this
is not a suitable driver. It IS the WinXP driver. .same that I used on my
other machine when I had XP installed. It just seems as though something in
sharing isn't set up properly yet. Anything else I may be missing? Anyone
else have this issue in sharing a printer with a computer running WinXP?

Glad that at least I'm not alone, but. . anyone happen to know how to get
around this?? It's the only reason I'm not solely running WinVista on this
machine.

Thanks again!~
