Sharing Printer with W2K Machine?

I have WindowsXP Home Edition on one of my machines on my home network and
the computer can see and share files with all the other machines. But when I
try to get it to print to a computer hooked up to one of the machines
running Windows2000, even with print and file sharing turned on, it can't
see the printer from the XP machine. Any suggestions on how I might get this
to work? I have another computer that is W2K and had no problem seeing and
sharing that printer. And, like I said, I can see the files across the whole
network, regardless of XP or W2K, no problem. Just the XP machine doesn't
see the printer attached to the Y2k machine. The driver for it, a canon
s450, says it is for both Windows 2000 and XP.

Hi Jeff,

These articles may interest you. The first one is rather lengthy,
though:

or later. This paper provides an overview of enhancements to the
printing subsystem of the Microsoft Windows 2000 and later operating
systems, and discusses details about upgrading and migrating to
Windows 2000 or Windows Server 2003.
