Sharing Outlook .pst file between 2002 and 2003

I have two computers networked together. Both are running XP. One has Outlook
2002, the other 2003. Can I share the same .pst file between the two versions
of Outlook without having to worry about data corruption or incompatibility?
My existing .pst file was created by Outlook 2002. So, in other words, can I
continue to use it on both computers, or do I need to upgrade to 2003 on the
one computer?

Outlook 2003 can access any PST file. As long as you leave it in the old
format, both installations can access it. I assume you already know that
only one installation of Outlook can access a PST file at one time.

I have a similar situation: tower PC and a laptop, my wife and I use the same
PST file. Given that the PC and Laptop won't be trying to access the same
pst file at the same time, what is recommended to share the file, from the PC
or the laptop?

Share it from the one that runs all the time. If they both run all the
time, pick the one you'd like. I'd choose the desktop.
