sharing on vista.

hi

i have two computers one laptop with vista premium on it and the other
desktop which has home vista. they are both wireless. i can share the
printer and the internet and the public folder. However, i can not
open any shared folder from C drive and its directories on my labtop.
that means i can see the folders of the desktop on my laptop, but when
i click on any folder i get message saying " file is not accessible or
you may not have access rights. In the mean time, on the desktop i can
see all folders of the laptop, and when i click on any folder, the
files inside shows up. so how can i see the files of desktop on my
laptop when i click on any folder.

one more question, i just bought microsoft visual studio 2005. and i
intend to istall it on my desktop. is it possible to let my laptop
open visual studio wirelessly which is only installed on my desktop.?
how do i do that.

thanks

Must have passwords dor each account estblished. Vista does not allow for
blank passwords. Is that the problem?

Hi,

1) Type 'network and sharing center' into the search line and hit <enter> to
open this dialog, enable "file sharing" as well as the public folder
sharing.

2) No, you'd have to install it on the laptop to use it on the laptop, you
can't run it remotely.
