Hi,

I encountered one problem... have a powerpoint
presentation which I want to share with my colleagues
thru the network. However when they click on the file on
my folder, it will prompt a password.

However the file is not password protected. What is the
actual problem and how can I solve it? Pls advise.

Thank you in advance.
Regds,
Joanna

How are the permissions set for your folder? Perhaps that's the password
that is being asked for? You might check with your network administrator.

However some of the slides are from our overseas office...
When I can open the softcopy via email, it will still prompt me the password bu
I can view and make changes if I open it

What level of password protection is applicable for Powerpoint?

PowerPoint 2002 and 2003 have password protection. You can assign a
password for just opening the file and a password for modifying the file.
As long as the user has the assigned modify password, they can open the file
and edit it. If a modify password has been assigned, and you don't know the
password, you can still open it as "read only".
