sharing OCE plotter on WinXP network

FredBear

I have 2x WinXP machines in office. each runs CAD, and the CAD software has
drivers to plot with.
but I want to get rid of the old parrallel switchbox & plot via the network.
I *DO NOT* have windows drivers for the very old OCE plotter.

How do I share the LPT port on one machine so the other can plot to it.

Is it possible to "share" an LPT port when there is no windows printer
driver installed on that LPT port?

I tried setting up a "dummy" generic text driver & sharing that, which
worked as far as sharing, but
Plotting did not work....

TIA for any hints

You'll need a Windows XP driver for the plotter to do this. There are some
third party driver producers:

WinLINE plotter driver

They have an XP version. I don't know if this driver supports your plotter,
however, it might. If not, they may have some suggestions for you.
