Sharing Files

I am trying to set up file sharing on two computers
(stand alone and notebook)both have xp

Hi Karen.

1. You need a crossover cable
for transferring files, or a ethernet hub.

2. Run Windows explorer, then go
to tools/folder options/view tick use
simple file sharing

3. Also double click on the LAN icons
on BOTH PC's / Properties, and tick
File and printer sharing on both as well).
(if you want to share a printer).

These icons are on the bottom right
of your taskbar
