In the my documents folder I have stored some documents that I would like to
share with all users on the network. I have 2 PCs connected thru Ethernet
and hub. Only the documents that I have placed in folders have the share
command listed when I right click on them.

Is it necessary to store my documents in subfolders within the My Documents
folder in order to share them with others?

I am running Windows XP Professional and Office XP Professional on PC1 which
has the modem installed. I have Windows XP Home and Office 2000 Standard on
PC2.

1. run network setup wizzard on each computer
2.verify that their "workgroup" name is identical ex:MSHOME. Computer names
must be different.
3.turn on file and printer sharing
4 at each computer run the "create network place" wizzard type the path to target computer ex:\\computername\shared\
5 if succsessfull, any shared files from target will be visible from "my
network places"
try dragging files into the shred docs folder
