Is it possible for 2 users to share the e-mail account of one of them
without hosting our own mail server? The boss has hired an assistant and
part of her job is to check his e-mail (on her workstation), delete unwanted
messages, reply to some and generally manage his e-mails. He works on a
laptop locally and remotely and needs e-mail access at all times. What I
envision is a common .pst file located on one of the file servers that will
be synchronized to both the assistant's workstation and the boss's laptop.
The assistant can receive his e-mail, do her tasks and then synchronize. The
boss will have a local .pst file on his laptop that he will use while away
from the office. His Outlook will be set to leave a copy of all messages on
the server so thet the assisant doesn't miss anything. When he comes to the
office he will sync to the .pst on the server. The sync will be 2-way in
both cases.
I'm testing a trial version of a product called Qsynchronization. It looks
like it may work but the jury is still out. I'd really like to get people's
feedback on what I propose. Thanks in advance for the help.
