Sharing documents and Settings folders

R

Raymond Nichols

I have a peer to peer workgroup with Windows XP Pro. I can share all my
files and folders with the exception of the folders in Documents and
Settings. When I attempt to open them I receive access denied. The strange
thing is that I can open one of the users folders (Raymond) but am denied
access to the others. I have changed the permissions to full access and
have the folders shared. This was all do to me trying to share the My
Documents folders on each computer for each user.

I must be overlooking a permission or other security setting?

Thanks for any guidance.

Ray,

You may try this in Networking groups. Before that, see if the forceguest in ON. You need to turn OFF forceguest for advanced file sharing: http://www.nthelp.com/NT6/xp_drive_sharing.htm
