access is denied to use documents...

We are a small company with a peer to peer network. One of our users hard
drive crashed. I've put in a second drive and configured the old drive as a
slave. I can see the files on the old drive. But when i try and access the
files in her profile, I get the "access denied" message. I've tried
"sharing" the folder to no avail. How can we access the files on the old
drive?? I'm stumped

You need to re-establish ownership

HOW TO: Take Ownership of a File or Folder in Windows XP

NOTE: You must be logged on to the computer using an account that has administrative privileges. If
you are running Windows XP Home Edition, in order to have access to the Security tab, you must first
start in Safe Mode and log on with an account that has Administrative rights.
