sharing directories?

Hi all,

I have 2 xp home machines. Both are connected to
each other by wireless. Both have a "charles" account
on each one. Both can browse the Internet through a
gateway. They see each other in network neighborhood.
They can ping each other. There are no firewalls. I can
create a share with "my documents" on one but the other
computer says "don't have access permissions". Simple
file sharing is enabled. On the Internet it talks about
editing policies. I see no capability of that in my machines.
Why can't I share folders?

thanks,
charles......

Charles,

If Simple File Sharing is enabled, the only account necessary for file sharing
is Guest. And the folders in "My Documents" won't be accessible through the
network, because Guest has limited access, and no access to folders of other
accounts. If you wish to share files on computers using Simple File Sharing,
setup folders outside "Documents and Settings" for sharing.
