sharing data

Updated from 98se to XP and am consfused as to how to
share data from one user to another. Under my profile I
open up a map program and download data from a GPS and
when my partner opens the same program under his profile
on the same computer the data is not there. How do we
share as if it is one program? Same thing with my kids
games. My son can load and play a game under his profile
but my daughter can "see" the game under her profile but
can't play it.

Unlike 98, XP implements a security model. Given you have setup and
expect multiple users to use this machine (with their own ID's), you
will need to get a handle on how permissions work. I can't replicate
all that information here. Best for you to look at the Help system,
starting with the articles under the header "System Administration".
