Sharing a shopping cart between to sites

I am working on a website for my company that no has a new division (serves a
differen market) but would sell many of the same products. Is it possible to
share a shopping cart between the 2 sites?

I expect it depends on the licence you have for using the shopping cart
software. Some might restrict use of the cart to one domain etc, and you
have to pay extra fees for extra licences. I suggest you check the user
licence agreement for the s/cart software you're using.

This is not really a FP question.

That would depend upon how the commerce software is implemented and whether the licensing agreement allows you to est. multiple
stores.
