Shopping Cart specifics

Come on, folks...I really need recommendations. There've been a lot of
general things about shopping carts, but I am looking for something from
people who have added them to their websites. I want to create a shopping
cart where everything is on my site right up to the payment part. The actual
payment part will be hosted on another secure site of a credit card
processing company. (Looking for good suggestions here, too). But I don't
want to set up a cart where the information about the products, etc. lives on
someone else's site. I can' t believe that I'm the only one out there who
wants to do things this way, nor can I believe that no one out there has
specific recommendations for shopping cart developement or add-ins that they
have used to design shopping carts. References that say that there are lots
of links out there on shopping carts don't help a bit. I need specific
recommnedations. Anyone? Please!???

There are many shopping carts available that offer a variety of features and functions, but you have
to do the research, because only you know what you need/want and what is supported by your web host.

You have to review each shopping cart application to see if it has the features and functions that
you require, and you will then have to limited your chose to carts that are written in a scripting
language and using a database supported by your web host. We can not do this for you.
