Frontpage and Shopping cart or ECommerce website (MVP)

Guest

I currently use Fronpage 2003 and microsoft access. I want to use a Web
hosting company that will incorporate my ASP Pages with a shopping cart. Or
at least allow me to use Microsoft access for my database. I have merchant
accounts setup. I have 2 sites setup one of them use Yahoo store front, but
being a frontpage user their shopping cart system is not that great and a lot
of work. I was hoping to automate my cart creation similar the ease of
generating ASP pages. ANY Sujestions.

Next problem I have is our main inventory is on a unix machine and the
program we use is AUTOMATE how would I broacast live inventory stats on the
web using frontpage?

There's many e-commerce shopping carts solutions developed with ASP. The
better choice these days is ASP.NET. Particularly when considering accessing
data from a *nix platform that is arguably best done using "XML Web
Services". You should consider hiring a web developer. FrontPage is little
more than a push button page layout application.

There are many hosts that support ASP and Access, and some ASP shopping cart templates available for download or purchase
- what specifically is your question

As for your "inventory" can you export it w/ the tools you have to a csv file to import into Access

There are many reliable Windows hosts that support ASP and Access
- and several ASP based shopping cart templates or addins

What specifically is your question?
A host and/or cart recommendation?

As for your "inventory" file can you download/export it to a csv or other format supported by Access for use in your new site

Ray,

We've linked our shopping system (which does run under Fronpage if you
wish) with many back-ends including AS400s and others. It should not
be too much of a stretch to link it to unix. Take a look at
www.ezcat.com to see what all it can do and give us a call.
