Sharing a program across OS: XP Pro x64 / XP 32 dual boot

In evaluating the x64 version of XP Pro, it would be nice if I
didn't need to reinstall all of the existing software on my XP 32
partition
to the x64 partition.

Both partitions are NTFS and are visible to each other. It seems
like one could somehow mirror the registry from the XP 32 installation
to
the x64 installation.

I don't think this would violate any license agreements, b/c only one
copy
would be installed/in use at any time.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
