Sharing a 2007 calendar in 2003

Our COO wants Office 2007 installed on his laptop. His secretary still has
2003. We aren't ready to roll out 2007 yet to everyone so we are trying to
keep as few people on 2007 right now as possible. If we keep his secretary
on 2003 are there any known issues with this since she has full permissions
to his calendar?

Make sure both systems have all the latest office updates installed. There
are a few minor things (minor IMHO) - seeing private appts, even if she has
permission is iffy is one.

On a similar vein my CIO has decided to use Outlook 2007 while the rest of
the office is still using 2003. He is having issues with appointments not
being updated automatically when changed by an assistant still using 2003.

I've done a search of the web and what I am seeing from other people is
that this type of thing is to be expected. Our CIO doesn't buy it because he
said it worked at his last office.

One comment I came across on the web was from Microsoft Technical support to
a user having similar issues. The user stated that it used to work but just
all of a sudden stopped. Tech support said they were lucky it ever worked.

What is your take on this? Is that basically what the party line should be?

This is one of the problems with mixed versions. As for it working
elsewhere, in my experience the user is mistaken about the versions in use
when it worked.

I thought there was a recent KB on this and maybe a hotfix but I could be
thinking of other issues.
