Shared workbook

Hello all, does any one have any experience of using a shared workbook where
the users will be using varying filters and varying sort by options to suit
their individual needs?
How well would it stand up?
Also, conditional formatting doesn’t work within a shared workbook! But if I
unshared the workbook and then apply the conditional formatting and then make
it a shared workbook again it appears to work!!!!! Is this ok or am I just
tempting it to crash around me?

hi,
I am not one for shared workbooks. we tried that a few
years ago and ran into problems. now we just password
protect and give the pass words to those in need.
But i would suggest something. you need to sit the group
down and discuss things about the files. Options, personal
preferences ect. in basic, how are we going to set up and
use the files. if someone wants changes... meeting time.
a hassel i know but it does cut down friction in the
group.
Regards
Frank.
