Shared Workbook inexplicably grows in size

I have shared a workbook (Tools, Share Workbook) on a network drive and I
have disabled "Track changes". The file starts out at ~2MB and over the
course of a day, grows to over ~20MB! No rows or columns of data (or even
formulas) are being added to the workbook. Users are simply updating
existing data. Can anyone tell me why the file size is increasing so
dramatically? Thanks in advance for any help.

I had this problem a while back. My 13MB spreadsheet would grow to 70MB when
other people went into it. It finally stopped happening after the company
upgraded to a newer version of MS Office. I figure it was a bug which
Microsoft fixed. If there's a workaround, I never found it. Uh, so I guess
I don't really have a solution. Sorry!

Pete,
Thanks for the additional data point. I will check with my user community
to see which version of Office they are using, just out of curiosity.
