I haev a printer shared on a Windows 98 PC, and when I
try to use it on a Windows 2000 PC on same network, I get
the error:
Connect to Printer:
Could not connect to the printer. You either entered a
printer name that was incorrect or the specified printer
is no longer connected to the server.
Check Help for more information
I have seen MS article 298692 which seems to cover this,
however, the PC is already on SP4

What can I do to overcome this issue?

I found a solution if anyone wants to know:

On Windows 98, printer shared.
On Windows 2000, in CMD, use command:

NET USE LPT2: "\\SERVER\PRINTER" /PERSISTENT:YES

Now install Printer with Install CD on this PC, and pick
LPT2 as port.

Hope it helps someone.
