Shared Printer on Windows XP

I am trying to get two workstations to share there
resources. I have a 2003 server, and there are two
workstations that share printers with each other. The XP
Pro workstation has an Okidata 393 connected to it. The
Win98 workstation has a HP laser jet connected to it. The
XP workstation can print fine to both printers. The win98
workstation can only print to its local laser printer.

I can get both to work temporarily, if I join the XP
station to a workgroup then back to the domain both
workstations can print to all the printers. The win98
system can be rebooted and everything still works fine.
Once you reboot the XP station the win98 station can not
print to the XP's shared printer. The only way you can
get it to work again is by taking the XP off the domain
and rejoining it.

Any thought on how to correct this issue would be greatly
appreciated.

Thank you,
Tom Tanganelli

is there a computer account on the server for the win 98
machine? - as win 98 can't join a domain, but can share
resources, it could be a permissions issue. Once the xp
is in a workgroup then the 98 can share it, but it's
possible that once back on the domain the server is
seeing the win98 as an "outsider" and not allowing any
sharing rights. Also, does the 98 have a user account
with the same name/password as an account on the server
(active directory). I'm not sure exactly what the problem
is, but have a feeling it is something to do with
permissions and accounts as one machine is on the domain
and the other is not
