I am sharing an outlook pst file accross a home wireless network and I am
getting inconsistant results and often from the Laptop end I cannot open the
pst file which is on a nearby PC. After playing with sharing permissions I
seem to evenetually get it able to be opened but then everything locks up
again on the laptop if I open the file on the PC. I don't really know what
I am doing!!!
The PST file is on a shared folder on a PC with all persmissions opened.

PSTs on network shares are not supported and can lead to corruption of the
PST. Moreover, only one copy of Outlook can be open at any one time if they
both reference the same PST.

Thanks Brian, but its really a case of either on this machine or another
never requiring both at the same time - is this still not possible?

It's possible and I've done it, but if you value your data you'll avoid it
or make frequent backups.

Are both PCs running the same version of WIndows? Does the PC hosting the
PST have the file sharing portion of networking configured correctly?
