shared network, what should the normal security permissions *.ldb

In a network enviroment, the database set as shared and no locks, what should
the security permissions of the locked File (*.ldb) be displayed as.

My problem is that only one user can view the database at one time with no
visable restrictions, that i know of. if i chage the security permissions of
the *.ldb file to full access, many user can logon, how do i change the
permission status of this file within ACCESS 2003.

You have to give full permissions to all users on the Folder. The ldb will
inherit those settings.

But checking the ACCESS 2003 Database security permissions and
everyone does have full access. But the *.LDB file security permissions when
it opens sets the security permissions as Read, therefore if I force the
locking file to Full Access it works as I would expect, but I cant get it to
default that way.

I'm not talking about *Access* security settings. I'm talking about the network
permissions on the folder.

thanks, this could posibbly be our problem as we have recently changed our
UNIX server running a software pakage to manage our disck space aswell.
