DB locked "File Already In Use" NO .LDB FILE!!!

Help!
Okay I know there will be flack for this but here it goes.
This morning I am in the midst of converting an Access 97 Backend to an
Access 2003 Backend. Which had been scheduled for some time.
During the process I changed security permissions on a Win2003 Server so
that only "Admin" had any privledges on the DB file.
Of course... I was told that they wanted to wait until Wednesday before
converting the backend. When I restored the file permissions to include those
users that had permissions before they were not able to get back in to the
database. The error message stated that the file is already in use. The funny
thing (acutally not so funny) is that I can not find the .ldb file.

Is there anyway to gain access to the DB?? Also ideas without a reboot of
the server would be greatly appreciated!

And before you ask YES I have also tried restoring from backup with no luck.

Thanks in advance,
CB

Did you restore permissions on both the mdb file, or on the folder (it's the folder they need the permissions on). Then compact the mdb - the resulting file will inherit permissions from the folder.

Yes,
This problem was resolved by going in to the computer management tool
looking for open shares and disconnecting the user that had it open. After I
did this the db was open for all again!
