I've set up a shared folder using the Permissions tab on the folder. We use
this shared folder for questions that anyone in my group can answer, so we
all can see the folder and read the emails. It works great except that the
others are not able to respond to any of the emails. I can't find any
setting that allows "reply to". What am I doing wrong?

Also, we've got a generic e-mail address attached to this folder and we'd
like to be able to send messages and have it look like it's coming from the
generic mailbox, instead of our personal mailbox. Is this possible?

Hi Eleanor of Aquitaine

an email is a personal document written by a person, so you only can send
messages from your personal mailbox.

If you could answer as "Public Folder" who orders the "ferrari"?

If you answer an email you can create a rule to make a copy into a "Public
Folder" but if you answer an email, you did it and you will get the answer
in your personal "sent items folder".

Okay, thank you both very much. It looks like I would be better off with a
Public Folder.

I have a solution which many of my clients use:

Try this in the Mailbox that the whole team have access to.

When they answer a question, have them drag the question and their answer
into a folder called Answered in the Mailbox.

Add the Category field and use Categories to show who answered each email.

You can then Group By Category to see who answered which questions.

If you need to see who is working on a question, you could use Categories in
the Inbox as well - Then you can see who took the question on and they just
drag it out when they've finished it.

Hi Judy,
when can you deliver it Oliver?

First I take always th money. I only deliver after payment.
To give you my banc account, I will call you at your private number. :)

I will deliver the Ferrari after I received the money. Which color? The
same as your shoes (you get last month)?

We use different Public Golders like:

"Answered by Oliver"
"Answered by Angela"
"Answered by Julian"

and we created on every workstation a rule to create automatically a copy of
an email into this folder.

We can limit the rights in this folders, because Angela is not allowed to
see "Julians" or my answer (emails).

We use "Lookout" (only supported till Outlook 2003) to search all folders
for emails.

It works in the same way as your idea but we can limit the rights.
