Shared Folder access

Lincs

Just bought a new computer and added it to my home wireless network I can
access the shared files as long as it is logged on but, the path cannot be
found when the computer is logged off. I can't find the right setting to
change so that i can access the shared files when it logged on or off. I have
two other computers on this network and have never had this problem. If any
one has any ideas please let me know thanks

We had a post like this one before. I am not sure we have a solution. If we
start the Vista with clean booting, can you access it without logon?

When the computer is logged off it disconnects the connection to the wireless
network until someone logs into the computer again. So is there a way to
prevent this from happening, if the new computer would stay connected there
wouldn't be a problem when the computer was logged off. I have installed a
dlink rangebooster wireless g.

Do you have latest driver fir the wireless adapter? Or verify the NIC is
compatible with the Vista. Please post back with the result.
