We have a shared drive, I can get 5 people logged on but
when a 6th person tries we get this message. "Microsoft
Windows Network: No more connections can be made to this
remote computer at this time beacuse there are already as
many connections as the computer can accept."

How do I get around this?

WinXP Home limit 5 concurrent sessions
WinXP Pro limit 10 concurrent sessions
Win2K limit 10 concurrent connections

You need a server version of windows to increase concurrent sessions.
