Shared Documents no longer accessible

Whilst unsuccesfully attempting to setup file-sharing on a wirelessly-linked
PC (long since setup with AOL software; and adaptor and router), I somehow
changed the Shared Documents directory name to Documents and am now told when
when I click on it that it's not accessible - even from an administrator
account. If I attempt to rename it a message informs me that it's a Windows
system directory and can't be renamed, moved or deleted. Also, if I mouse
over it, a screen tip states that the folder is empty. All 'All Users' icons
are no longer on the desktop and such programs are also missing from the
Programs list on the Start menu. I already attempted a System Restore. How do
I rectify this?
