Am trying to make a picture in a shared border
transparent as it would be if it were used as a
background on the page itself. Web site is
www.waterwayradio.net and picture is the flag in the
header.

You need to do this in a image application where you select the background color to be transparent
and save it as a GIF image to your desktop, then import into your current open FP web, then insert
on your page.

You'd have to make the flag(s) smaller then wash them out using a image editor, then use it as background. Right click in border area, Border Properties/Picture.

You'll have to experiment with width...I "think" you have 146-150px on shared border.

That's in FP2002 at least.
