shared border not publishing properly

I have been using FP since FP97. I maintain 10 sites. Recently, on one of my
sites when I add a new page, add it to nav structure, etc. everything works
fine on local site. However, the new page doesn't show up in nav structure or
sitemap in published web. The last time, I published the complete site rather
than changed pages only and this worked. However, I hate publishing ALL pages
as on some search engines you get penalized.
I tried recalculating hyperlinks, removing it from nav structure and
reinserting it into nav structure. Works fine on local, not on published web.
http://www.iefit.com/music/classical-guitar.htm
If you switch to any other page, that page is not in navigation.
Any ideas what is going wrong? I am using FP2003 and always use it to publish.

I see it as a broken image link at
http://www.iefit.com/music/classical-guitar.htm
pointing to
http://www.iefit.com/music/_derived/classical-guitar.htm_cmp_virtualsmooth010_vbtn_p.gif
and as an image link w/ the text ".../music/classical-guitar" at
http://www.iefit.com/music/guitars_acoustic.htm pointing to
http://www.iefit.com/music/_derived/classical-guitar.htm_cmp_virtualsmooth010_vbtn_a.gif

Check your Nav view text (should just be "classical-guitar" not ".../music/classical-guitar"

The link text is "Classical Guitar" in the navigation view. The problem is
this is not publishing. OK if you preview in browser. The other buttons are
there in local web, they just refuse to publish. The page also does not show
up in sitemap.

You may want to try removing all spaces (they will appear as %20) from
folder and file names, that may help if you are on a *nix server...also
stick to all lowercase names.,,you can use underscores instead of spaces.

| Hi John, have you found the answer to this yet? It sounds very similar to
| what I get.
| I have a whole series of photos in a gallery linked together (for example
|
http://www.imagefair.co.uk/images/AoA/England/Cornwall - St Ives 2005/St Ives harbour 19.htm
| ) Most work OK, but sometimes when I publish the links on some of the
photo
| pages the pages appear without the 'back up next' links.
| If I open the web site locally in my browser it works fine.

Thanks Rob, but I carried on plugging away at the problem and fixed it late
yesterday.
I tried various things, when I found Format\Dynamic Web Template\Update All
Pages (all the pages I had this problem with were created from a dynamic web
template) and hey presto that fixed it.
Why, I don't know. I'd created 41 new pages and strung them together in
navigation mode under a custom link bar, a bunch of the links worked (say
about a dozen) and the rest didn't.
I've other funnies to work through as I'm still new at this, but if I need
help on them they'd be the subject of a new thread.
Once again, thanks for your prompt reply.
