MY RED HAT LINUX 9 IS ABLE TO READ XP FILES ON THE NETWORK
AND RECOQNIZE THE WORKGROUP AND 2 PC CONNECTED,, BUT DOES
NOW INCLUDE THE LINUX BOX IN THAT NETWORK. I WOULD LIKE TO
SEE THE LINUX BOX LISTED AS JOINED TO MY WORKGROUP, AND
SHARE FILES EQUALLY AMOUNG THE 2 XP AND 1 LINUX BOX.

Hi -

I share files back and forth between my Fedora Core 1 box
(used to be RH9) and Windows XP workstations on my home
network.

The samba client on your Linux box needs to be configured
and just like on a Windows XP network, your username and
password on the Linux box needs to match a valid account
on the Windows XP machine hosting the share.

You can find piles of documentation on how to make this
work at http://www.samba.org

Good luck!
