Share protection in XP Home ?

Is it possible with XP Home to share a folder with ONLY a
selected set of other computers/users on the network? A
friend has a network with 7 XP Pro systems, and 2 XP Home
systems. He wants to share a folder on one XP Home system
with the other XP Home system, but he doesn't want the XP
Pro systems to be able to access the share. If not, will
upgrading the Home to Pro address this requirement ?

Thanks

You could use NTFS to limit access to the share via File/Folder permissions.
This would be user-level and the users/passwords would have to exist on the
machine doing the sharing as well as the machine using the share in order to
be "seamless" - otherwise, each user wanting to use the share will have to
know the correct username/password in order to access the share.
