Share name not showing

Hello

I have a user whose mapped network drives are set using a kix script, same
as all other users here. For some reason her mapped drives do not show the
share name - just "Network Drive".

The machine in question is running WinXP sp2. Does anyone know why this may
be happening for this one user?

cheers

Hi Trace,

Open Regedit.exe and navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \
Explorer

Note down the value assigned for "ShowDriveLettersFirst" and include it in
your reply.

Hi Ramesh

There is no ShowDriveLettersFirst key or value on this machine.

A colleague told me to go to
HKCU\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\explorer\mountpoints2 and
delete the references to the mapped drives there and then refresh Win
Explorer. I haven't tried it yet - what do you think?

cheers

Hi Trace,

Interesting! You may give that a try, but I guess the shares need to be
remapped again.
