Share Address Book

M

Mike Schatz

I have an Address Book that I want to share with Outlook Express. Is there
a way to do this? Seems that the 'Import' option doesn't work in Outlook.

TIA...

An Address Book?
Post versions if you expect answers. We can't read minds.

Sorry...

I want to share Outlook's Address Book (6.00.2800.1123) with Outlook
Express. Is that enough information?

Yes, but it doesn't make sense. That version is not an Outlook version. It
is an Outlook Express version. Are you really using Outlook? If so, what
version?

Yeah, I thought about that. I even opened Address book in both Outlook and
Outlook Express and Help>About showed the same information for both.

Then you are not using the Outlook Address Book--possible only if you are
using Outlook 2000 in the long abandoned IMO mode.
All of which makes your question even more confusing, since the address book
is already shared in that version. What is it you want that you do not have?

Then I guess I don't know WHAT I have. All I know is that I'm running
Outlook 2000, synchronize my Address Book with Jornada Contacts, and want to
use that in both Outlook and Outlook Express.

Does that make any more sense?

Have you enabled sharing in OE? (Address Book > Tools > Options).

Mike is running OE6-SP1 which no longer has that option under Address Book
Tools. He'll need to use the Registry hack to enable sharing with OL
contacts:

Incorrect. This option is not a function of Outlook Express. It is a
function of the Outlook version in use.
