Shadow style, How?

How can i put a shadow effect on a picture i insert?
If i highlight the pic the shadow button is greyed out.
I can put a shadow on a text box ok, so i decided to put a pic inside a text
box and then apply shadow, but is there another way of doing it as this
seems a bit long winded.

You need to do this within a image application, not FP.

so u are saying frontpage will not shadow effect pictures that are inserted?
 
Yes, based on other users that have tried it. However in any case you will
get the best result using a image application which is designed to work with
images.

the "shadow" effect in FP is should be used for font effects of text typed or for
Word Art objects, not for images.
