Shadow Copies

Hi all,

Is shadow copies available in win xp as it is in Win 2003? I am, if a
computer is member of a workgoup and shared foladers are configured, is it
possible to take advantages of shadow copies? If so, how can I enable this
option?

I have installed the twcli32.msi package but couldn't see the difference.

Thanks a lot!

Dunno what you're trying to do, but yes, Shadow Copy is a service in XP, and
it's set to Automatic by default. So, it 'should' be on unless it's been
messed with.

Try coming up with some informaiton and maybe you can get a better answer to
your problem, whatever it may be.

I've never used Win2003 so don't know what "as it is" would be. Wild stab
of a guess:

Open XP help and type in "offline files"
Offline files gives local access to network resources for those times that
you are not connected to the rest of the network.

Will that feature get you the "shadow copies" you're asking about?
