SFC /scannow Windows XP service pack 2 cd

Does anybody know why sfc /scanow would ask for Windows XP
Professional Service Pack 2 and will not continue.?
 
Just put in your XP install disk.If one did not come with
your computer,your repair files are on the hard drive,or
recovery disk...Good luck.
 
If you don't have an install CD, check your harddrive for a folder called
"ServicePackFiles" in the Windows folder - if so, just point to that folder
when asked for the Windows CD.
