Hi, my name is Raeven and this is my story.

I have a Windows XP Home Edition computer that crashed on me last week
I reinstalled my whole operating system to fix it and now it's runnin
well. I have one problem: no internet. And that's not good for m
because I need that to install other programs that used to be on m
computer.
I called BellSouth, my internet provider, and told them that during th
installation of that service, it couldn't continue because it detecte
a Network adapter that wasn't available. They told me that I probabl
needed to reinstall that Network adapter, but whenever I try t
reinstall it and error message comes up always at 14%.
I call again and this time,we look in the properties of My Computer an
then on Hardware, then Device Manager and she tells me to find Networ
Adapters on there. It isn't there.
I've had it on there before I reinstalled and now I don't know how t
get it back and that seems to be the only way to connect to th
internet.

My computer has a wireless network with another computer in the hous
with a BellSouth Westell modem and a Linksys Router. I don't know ho
to network it back. The other computer's internet is obviously workin
fine. So, if anyone could help my with this growing problem, I would b
soooooooo grateful.
ANYONE, HELP ME WITH THIS, PLEASE!!!!!!

If it is a wireless network card that is being used, go to Add/Remove
Programs and uninstall any network software related to the card.. also,
remove the card from the slot, and then reboot the machine..

Now re-install the network card drivers, and then re-install the card.. XP
should now find and install it..
