Severe error on faultrep.dll file

Running XP with SP1 professional. On reboots or system
startup I'm getting a Windows severe error with file
faultrep.dll file. Event ID 1003 Any ideas what might be
causing this error? I searched google and the support
site here at Microsoft but that file never came up in my
searches. Thanks

Faultrep.dll is the support file used for error reporting
(sending crash reports to Microsoft). Is your system
crashing right before the error message occurs? Does the
error reporting client ever pop-up?

If the problem persists you could turn of error reporting
in the Control Panel | System \ Advanced Tab | Error
Reporting button.
