Several links don't work-especially ones that open in new window

When i click on some links, especially ones that are
supposed to open pop up windows or are part of a java(or
other applet) based page.

I think it may have been caused by deleting a certain file
using ad-aware or anti-virus by mistake, although i am not
sure. I cannot run window's update or download a patch
for iexplore because of this problem. If someone knows
how to fix this problem, or even the name of the file, let
me know!
