Setup Win2000 using PCMCIA-CD

I own a Toshiba Portege 3480CT. This is a lightweight
portable. In this case : lightweight means there's no
internal CD-ROM drive available.
My PC won't boot anymore, so I decided to reinstall my
windows.
I plugged a PCMCIA-CD into my PC. It boots from CD, it
starts copying files, but then it reboots and is no longer
able to locate my CD.
Is there anyone who knows how I can get this thing working
again?

I'm getting desperate, so any suggestions are welcome.

Thanks.

Hi Artemide,

If the volume is FAT32, you can copy the i386 folder from the CD to the hard
drive, boot from a boot disk and then run Setup from the i386 directory on
hard drive.
