"Setup is starting Windows" but never do

Install process hangs at "Setup is Starting Windows" message. It did
not happen before but now it does. If I specify Standard PC HAL during
text mode of installation process, then the Setup does start Windows.

My question is what has changed which necceciates me to specfy HAL as
above which was unneccessary before. Please help.

I found the cause of the problem. It is because I used other machine to
create the partitions and that machine comes with a different IDE
controller.
