SETUP.EXE error messge Windows 2000

When my wife launches Explorer she gets thie dialog box
error message....SETUP.EXE Error log

What does it mean, why is it happening and how can it be
corrected.

Appreciate any advice. She is running Windows 2000 with
Verizon dial up connection.

Internet Explorer does not invoke setup.exe. Your machine
may be infected with a virus - scan it with an up-to-date
scanner, or via www.antivirus.com.
