Settings not being saved

I have recently altered the setting in outlook as per instructions by my ISP
(Sky). Once i ammended the settings and click apply the settings work and i
can send/recieve email. After logging off the settings dont save so every
time i re boot i have to manually amend the pop3 server and the server port
numbers. Click apply and im away..until next time i log off. For some reason
those settings just wont save in outlook express 6 any ideas what to do?
